I was extremely pleased when my 30 year old nephew asked me to teach him how to knit. I was tough at first because he wanted to jump right into a pattern and I explained that you need to learn the basics first. Then I thought, challenges build us, so I found a very basic scarf pattern, which only has k, p and yo. He struggled at first with holding the yarn and controlling the tension but after staying up all night long the next day he got it. Im so proud
